Case Snapshot

The fence detects an intrusion, but the alarm never arrives — for a high-security site, that gap is worse than no detection at all. One Taiwan perimeter site already had electric fencing in place; what the operator needed was continuity of alert delivery. Integrating the S10 Network Communication Unit gave cut, tamper, and abnormal-voltage alerts two routes to the control room, wired and wireless, so a single failed path no longer silenced the system.

Problem

Sharp detection means nothing if alerts never arrive

High-security perimeters usually have fencing, pulse hardware, and on-site surveillance already installed, yet event reporting often rides on a single route. Cable damage, network interruption, or deliberate sabotage can leave the system detecting an anomaly while the control room hears nothing.

That silence delays assessment and dispatch, and it erodes trust in the entire perimeter system precisely when the stakes are highest. The harder question comes after the fact: once security staff finally notice the anomaly, how long the site's assets or people sat exposed during that blind window is rarely something anyone can answer, short of piecing it together from camera footage. The operator's constraint was equally clear: no wholesale replacement — resilience had to be added on top of what was already built.

Solution

When one path breaks, the other delivers

The S10 Network Communication Unit was connected directly to the existing electric fence control system. On detecting a cut, break, tamper event, or abnormal voltage, the system pushes the alert simultaneously through the existing wired channel and a wireless route to the central control room.

The two paths back each other up: if one is interrupted, the other keeps reporting. Fencing, cabling, and controllers all stay in service, so the perimeter moves from a single-route alarm to a redundant monitoring workflow without a system rebuild.

An alert chain built to stay unbroken

Perimeter events now reach the control room more dependably — the risk of a missed report from a single failed path dropped, and security staff confirm, escalate, and respond faster.

For the operator, the existing fence investment didn't need to be ripped out and rebuilt — the single point of failure was closed by adding a second alert path on top of it. Any site with security infrastructure already in the ground can add the same communication-redundancy layer.
