NHR Climate Monitoring Helps a Chilean Poultry Farm Find Production Gaps

NHR is sharing a Chilean poultry-farm application where wireless temperature and humidity monitoring helped the operator investigate differences in egg production between farm areas.

Finding the cause behind uneven output

One section of the farm was producing fewer eggs, but repeated operational changes had not revealed the reason. NHR installed 56 wireless temperature and humidity sensors on posts throughout the laying areas. The readings were sent to SentrolCloud and displayed as a heat map of the farm environment.

Comparing the zones revealed meaningful temperature differences between higher- and lower-performing areas. This gave the grower a concrete direction for environmental adjustments instead of continuing to rely on trial and error.

Monitoring that grows with the operation

After the initial implementation, the grower expanded the farm to three times its former size and continued investing in wireless monitoring. Live environmental data helps the team identify potential issues earlier and maintain more suitable temperature and humidity conditions across the larger operation.

The project illustrates how distributed sensing can turn a difficult production question into an observable operating pattern, giving agricultural teams a repeatable way to investigate performance differences.
