NHR Real-Time Monitoring Supports Blood Cold-Chain Safety in Algeria

NHR is highlighting a cold-chain monitoring application in Algeria designed to give blood-supply supervisors better visibility throughout transportation.

Closing gaps between checkpoints

Blood bags must remain within suitable conditions during their journey, yet conventional checks may leave long periods without visibility. The NHR solution uses wireless temperature and humidity trackers, a mobile gateway, and cloud connectivity to record environmental conditions while shipments are in transit.

Vehicle GPS information can be combined with the sensor readings, allowing supervisors to understand both where a shipment is and what conditions it has experienced. If a configured limit is exceeded, the system can notify supervisors and drivers so they can investigate and take corrective action.

A traceable cold-chain record

Continuous monitoring keeps supervisors informed during transportation. When a reading moves outside configured limits, notifications give supervisors and drivers a signal to inspect conditions and take corrective action.

This application shows how connected sensing can support cold-chain governance. By bringing environmental readings, location context, and alerts into one workflow, NHR helps logistics teams protect product quality and make interventions more targeted.
